The 2023 Buick Envision: A comfortable ride in a premium package

Trim levels in the new Buick Envision
The latest edition of the Buick Envision isn't complicated, giving you a choice of three trims:
- Preferred
- Essence
- Avenir
The mid-range Essence trim offers a lot for the money, including visual amenities like 18-inch wheels. It also includes a power-operated rear lift gate, heated front seats and a 10.2-inch infotainment screen. You can upgrade to the available Sport Touring package which would get you to 20-inch wheels and a darkened exterior trim. If you want a luxury ride with all the bells and whistles, we recommend the top trim Buick Envision Avenir model.
Performance in the 2023 Buick Envision
Buick continues to keep things simple with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that can generate 228 horsepower. That engine is teamed up with a 9-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive comes standard. You can, however, go with optional all-wheel drive on any of the three trim levels. The Buick Envision is capable of zooming from zero to 60 in 7.3 seconds and the suspension is tuned to give you the greatest possible comfort in your ride.
Fuel economy in the new Buick Envision
The EPA-estimated fuel efficiency in the front-wheel drive and version is 23 MPG on city streets and 31 MPG on the highway. If you go with all-wheel drive, fuel efficiency drops only a little to 22 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on the highway. Those numbers are all above average for the class and are a nice bonus in a high-priced world.
The interior of the 2023 Buick Envision
The Buick Envision for 2023 is one of the more affordable luxury crossovers on the market. Overall, the interior reflects that upscale feel and allows the Buick Envision at the Avenir level to compete with big-time competitors like the Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class. With the Avenir, you'll get quilted leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats and a driver's seat that can give you a massage. The Buick Envision puts luxury within reach of a lot of people.
Infotainment in the 2023 Buick Envision
The base trim known as Preferred gives you an 8-inch infotainment touch screen but it's only one step up to the Essence and Avenir models to get a 10.2-inch display. Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration is standard across the lineup and wireless connectivity is part of the bargain. You'll get a six-speaker stereo at the base and if you move up to the Essence trim, you'll have seven speakers. Go all the way up to the Avenir model and you'll be listening to a nine-speaker premium Bose system.
